Q: What are your current challenges & solutions?
A: From a business perspective, it’s about finding furniture brands that are a high quality and offer a good logistics service. (DI Designs are magnificent at this!)
Q: Tell us about the current trends you’re seeing, the materials, tones & styles
A: I find people are really drawn towards burnt red, olive green, teal blue…’warm’ colours with natural materials, such as jute and rattan, and timeless, high quality furniture pieces.
Q: What are your top styling tips?
Stick with classic pieces that will stand the test of time; sprinkle some items that reflect your own personal style through accessories and find one statement piece that acts as a strong focal point for a room. For example, a beautiful oak console table, sprinkled with some coffee table books that you collected on your travels, perhaps a trinket tray in your favourite colour and then a bold mirror for that ‘wow’ factor.
Q: How have your client needs changed in recent months/years?
I find that clients require much more of a bespoke approach but also right the way through to delivery. Customers want to know where their items are at all times.
Q: What inspires the team at Decoralist?
We love seeing what interior designers are doing on Instagram/Pinterest and then sourcing those items for our collections on Decoralist.
Q: What are you working on next? Any big changes for the team?
We’re always growing and wanting to develop the business. For now, we’re focused on improving the customer shopping experience and automating how the business is run (order fulfilment, shipping). In the next few months, we’re going to be seeing how we can better improve our marketing efforts.
